We're looking for a Youth Services Assistant who brings a positive attitude, excellent customer service, and a flexible spirit. This role is essential to helping our library’s youth programs shine — and it’s never boring!
? What You’ll Do:
Support the Youth Services Coordinator with program prep, including assembling craft kits and selecting awesome books.
Jump in with a smile when needed — especially to fill in for the Children’s Coordinator during unexpected absences.
Help kids and families find just the right book or resource.
Keep the youth area looking great — shelving books, straightening displays, and keeping things organized and inviting.
Assist patrons with checkouts, book searches, and more using our Missouri Evergreen library system.
Work special events that may require flexible hours — and are often full of fun!
?? What You Bring:
Experience working with children is a big plus!
Confidence using computers, email, and programs like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
A self-starter attitude — you follow directions but also take initiative.

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
