Neosho’s 2026 May Day Mom Announced
Tracy Zachman has been selected as the 2026 “MAY DAY MOM”. Tracy was nominated by her daughter Serenity Ferguson, a 3rd grade student in Danielle Rowe’s class at George Washington Carver Elementary. After reading Serenity’s essay, we have no doubt that Ms. Zachman would benefit from a little pampering and we are so excited to honor her.
Serenity wrote the following essay, which was chosen out of 428 entries by our special committee. In her letter, Serenity shared that God knew exactly who she would need in a mom—and that He chose perfectly. She wrote about the kind of love that runs deep… the kind of love where a mom would give anything, even her own life, to make sure her child is okay.
“My mom is the best in the world because when God made her my mother he knew who I would need. If I needed a heart transplant she would give up her life and give her heart to me. She loves me so much, and I love her too.”
Honorable Mention was awarded to:
Zoey Snow, motherly figure of Izraylie Stauber, a third grader at South Elementary
Corea Talley, mother of Emmalyn Talley, a third grader at Benton Elementary
