Neosho Dogwood Tour 2026 Begins as Dogwoods Reach Peak Bloom
NEOSHO, MO — April 1, 2026 — Neosho is officially in bloom as the community’s iconic dogwood trees are now showing off their signature white and pink blossoms, marking the start of the 2026 Neosho Dogwood Tour.
This cherished annual tradition invites both locals and visitors to experience the beauty of Missouri’s state tree through a free, self-guided driving, walking, or biking tour that winds through Neosho’s scenic neighborhoods, parks, and historic streets.
A Tradition Rooted in Community
The Dogwood Tour has been a Neosho tradition since 1961, but its roots go back even further to 1946 when a group of Campfire Girls, led by Hazel Warden, planted many of the dogwood trees that still bloom across the community today.
What started as a small community effort has grown into one of Neosho’s most recognizable and beloved seasonal experiences—drawing visitors year after year.
