Missouri’s Largest Garage Sale Returns to Neosho for Its 38th Year

NEOSHO, MO – The 38th Annual Neosho City Wide Garage Sale, widely known as Missouri’s Largest Garage Sale, will take place Friday and Saturday, April 10–11, beginning at 7:00 a.m. each day. The event is held rain or shine and draws thousands of bargain hunters from across the region.
Hosted by the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce, the City Wide Garage Sale has become a spring tradition for both residents and visitors. Historically, 400+ households, families, and organizations participate annually, turning neighborhoods across Neosho into one of the Midwest’s largest shopping experiences.
“Each year, we receive calls and messages weeks—and sometimes months—in advance from shoppers planning their trips,” said Lauri Lyerla, CEO of the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce. “People travel from surrounding states to experience the scale and variety of Neosho’s City Wide Garage Sale.”
The economic impact of the event extends well beyond individual garage sales. Visitors support local hotels, Airbnbs, restaurants, gas stations, and retailers, creating a noticeable boost in community-wide commerce. Even last year, when severe weather shifted many sales to the following weekend, Neosho continued to see strong visitor activity tied to the annual garage sale.
Garage sale registrations will open online beginning March 2, 2026. Residents and organizations planning to participate are encouraged to check the Chamber’s website regularly for updates, including available set-up spaces, registration details, and the official sale map, which will be released closer to the event.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to download the Experience Neosho app to stay up to date on garage sale information, maps, and local recommendations. The app also provides easy access to lodging options, including hotels and Airbnbs, as well as dining, shopping, and attractions throughout Neosho.
Those planning to stay overnight are encouraged to make hotel or Airbnb reservations early, as lodging availability is limited due to the high volume of visitors.
