• HOPE KITCHEN CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE NEOSHO COMMUNITY

Neosho, MO – Hope Kitchen is joyfully celebrating its 10th anniversary this November! Since opening its doors in 2015, Hope Kitchen has been a cornerstone of compassion in the Neosho community—serving free, restaurant-style meals and offering hope to individuals and families in need.

To mark this special milestone, Hope Kitchen will host a 10-Year Anniversary Open House Celebration on Saturday, November 1st, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. The event will be a come-and-go celebration open to all current and past volunteers, supporters, and community partners. Guests are invited to stop by, enjoy a cupcake, view the progress of the Idea Center, and celebrate a decade of ministry and community impact.

Since its founding, Hope Kitchen has continued to grow as a Christ-inspired community effort to FREE the hungry—not only by providing meals but by fostering relationships and empowering guests toward self-sufficiency. Serving three nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6:00–7:30 p.m.), Hope Kitchen unites more than 40 churches, businesses, and volunteer teams each year in a shared mission of service and love.

In addition to meal service, Hope Kitchen continues to expand its outreach through the Exchange Process, a True Charity–certified initiative that provides opportunities for personal growth and engagement. Monday night Exchange classes, organized by the Guest Coordinator and taught by community volunteers, cover topics such as life skills, mental health, recovery, and nutrition—encouraging guests to take active steps toward stability and success.

“Hope Kitchen has always been more than a meal,” said Elizabeth Plappert, Director of Hope Kitchen. “It’s a place where people find community, dignity, and hope. As we celebrate 10 years, we’re reflecting on God’s faithfulness and the incredible generosity of those who have made this ministry possible.”
