“The temperature is rising, and so is the need for blood,” said Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative for Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “Summer is a challenging time for the blood supply. School breaks, vacations, and busy schedules often negatively affect summer blood donations, but the need for blood never takes a vacation. We are encouraging everyone to come in, roll up a sleeve and help us keep the heat off the local blood supply. Your donation could be the gift of life for someone right here in Neosho.”
O Positive, O Negative and A Negative blood types are currently in high demand. CBCO urges eligible donors to donate to help ensure local patients have the lifesaving blood they need during this challenging period. To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. Donors can find out more information and schedule an appointment at www.cbco.org/splash/ or by calling 417-227-5006.
On behalf of local hospital patients, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks thanks blood donors from across the region for giving life to your community.
