    About Us

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASAs are volunteer advocates who speak up for the abused and neglected children. A CASA will typically work with one child or sibling group and make sure that their needs are being met while under the court's jurisdiction.

The mission of the New-Mac Court Appointed Advocates (CASA) Association, together with our local communities, is to provide advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can grow and prosper in safe, permanent homes. We work through and with the court system to provide advocates for children in foster care.

    Hope needs a helping hand

NewMac CASA is in need of volunteers for our Newton & McDonald County service area. A volunteer commits to complete 30 hours of training (online & in-person) and a background check. After being sworn in, they are matched with a case and meet at least twice a month with the child for a check-in. The CASA Volunteer becomes the eyes & ears of the court and advocates on behalf of the foster child.
