    Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

    Report To: Joplin Regional Commission for Homelessness (JRCH)

    Work Location: Joplin, Missouri

    Work Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), with evening/weekend meetings as needed

    The Director of Homeless Response serves as a senior-level community systems leader, coordinating and advancing Joplin's homelessness response system. This position supports and operationalizes the community's homelessness strategies by working in close partnership with the JRCH Board/Commission, City of Joplin, and County leadership, Continuum of Care (CoC) partners, direct service providers, community stakeholders, and individuals with lived experience.

    The Director provides leadership in planning, coordination, reporting, and continuous improvement support for CoC programs and system-wide initiatives. The role emphasizes data-informed decision-making, best practice implementation, training and convening, and system coordination to ensure homelessness is reduced and becomes rare, brief, and non-recurring.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Experience (one of the following recommended pathways):

    Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, Business, or related field with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in housing/homelessness, poverty reduction, health services, or human services systems, including at least two (2) years in connection with relatable Continuum of Care activities.

    A master's degree in social work is strongly preferred with increasing responsibility in system/program leadership and coordination. Program supervision and administration as an Executive Director or senior leader of a 501(c)3 organization is a plus.

    Required:

    • Experience supporting cross-sector partnership, convenings, and/or coalition work
    • Report writing and data analysis experience
    • Must possess a vail driver's license, have reliable transportation, and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements
    • Pre-employment background screening
