The Neosho School Charitable Foundation is searching for an Executive Director. This position will be a full-time position. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
To create and develop partnerships with alumni, local businesses and patrons as we promote our mission
To Identify sources and secure donations and financial support for the Neosho School Charitable Foundation (NSF)
To organize, implement and oversee the Fundraising (individual and group) for the Neosho School Charitable Foundation
To increase support for and membership in the Alumni Association as well as the Foundation
To develop and implement a budget
To set goals in partnership with the NSF board
To research grant sources and write grants
To oversee and maintain the Foundation database
To report regularly to and work effectively with the NSF board
To maintain and update our website
To work closely with the NSF board to develop and promote communication materials
To manage the necessary computer software
To conduct business in a professional and timely manner
To maintain accurate records and filing systems for accountability and audit purposes as required by law as well as board policy.
To plan, implement and oversee all requested events such as the Cheers to Education gala, Learning Enrichment grants, scholarship programs and the annual retreat among others
To promote the Neosho School Charitable Foundation activities in a variety of ways throughout the district
To assist the other duties and special projects as determined by the Foundation President and NSF board
To assist the Foundation board in fulfilling the NSF’s mission
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, education or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, advancement, education or related field preferred
Experience working with or for public schools or educational nonprofits is strongly preferred
Experience with Google, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Quick Books
Graphic Design experience is desired
Training or experience in marketing and fundraising, development, event planning, estate planning such as major gift solicitation as well as grant writing. Experience working with non-profit boards of directors is preferred.
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to work with a flexible work week
