Position Summary: Customer service and E-comm order processing of online orders. This will include processing, shipping, packing, distributing of orders and inventory confirmation of products. Customer service at the retail counter, mail room responsibilities including check in and distribution of freight and daily mail and packages. Phone answering, daily message retrieval from phones, filing, and pickup and delivery as needed of orders to campus locations and area businesses and schools.
Essential Job Duties:
Open the bookstore for business daily
Process all online book orders and package for shipment or campus delivery as directed.
Pickup and deliver books to other locations and/or area high schools as needed, pick up and deliver to other campus locations, pick up and deliver as needed to area businesses.
Assist at the customer retail counter and help customers when they come in the store with shopping and purchases.
Check in and distribute freight from all carriers.
Post and distribute mail from the post office as needed.
Check the phone messages daily and respond as necessary.
Price and stock items as directed.
Special projects as needed with inventory, freight and some detailed excel projects
Training as needed with others on the process of POS operation and book order processing.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement responsibilities effectively.
- Problem solving skillset.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff, and the public.
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Information Technology Abilities
- Ability to operate a personal computer using the Windows environment
- Ability to operate a personal computer within the Crowder College Network environment using the currently available Microsoft Windows operating system
- Ability to use E-mail and associated calendaring/scheduling applications
- Ability to perform basic word processing using MS Word
- Ability to perform basic spreadsheet functions using MS Excel
- Ability to learn and use other computer programs as needed

Working Environment
- Indoors in a normal office environment with minimal exposure to temperature changes.
- Some driving of a Crowder vehicle
- A neat appearance and appropriate businesslike apparel are required
