EMS Billing Management is currently seeking an Ambulance Billing Specialist to join their team in Neosho, MO. This person plays a key role in enhancing the revenues of ambulance companies and fire departments by accurately billing customer accounts and taking immediate action on issues that involve account integrity and compliance.

- 36 Hours per week 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

- Enter data from trip reports and setup accounts for billing
- Prepare and review clean claims for submission
- Submit written appeals to payers to overcome denials
- Post electronic remits and private payments
- Follow-up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow
- Answer questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies enthusiastically and professionally
- Provide feedback to team leaders regarding account issues
- Conduct routine tasks as directed
- Contribute to the specific objectives and outcomes as directed
- Medical terminology experience preferred
- An ability to easily adapt to changes
- Insurance billing experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Fast learner, professional and attentive to detail (required)
- Must be able to work independently as well as partner with others as needed
- Must be compassionate and professional in handling patient account phone calls
