The Alliance of Southwest Missouri is excited to host its 5th Annual Safe Kids Downtown Dash and Safety Fair. This FREE event will take place in downtown Joplin One Block West of 15th & Main Street on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The fun run is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The morning will also include a Safety Fair featuring of fun activities for all ages.
In partnership with the City of Joplin, The Alliance will be closing Joplin Avenue the morning of the 28th for the Downtown Dash from 10th through 16th street. Onsite registration for the run will begin at 7:45 a.m.

RACE TIMES Grades 4-5 Reporting time: 8:30 a.m. Race Time: 9:00 a.m. Distance: Approximately 1 mile
Are there age requirements to participate in the run?
For a child to race in the Dash, they must be in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Home schooled Children are also welcome to participate. We want everyone to have a great time!
Are parents allowed to run?
Sorry, for safety reasons we want parents to stay on the sidelines.This is a fun run for kids. We want them to feel empowered and good about running all by themselves.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We are unable to provide any transportation, but parking will be available on Main Street and surrounding streets of the event.
