Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce Accepting Board Nominations
NEOSHO, MO — The Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for individuals interested in serving on its Board of Directors.
Chamber members may nominate themselves or another qualified individual who would bring valuable experience, ideas, and leadership to the Board. Nominees must represent a Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce member in good standing and be willing to serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2027.
“Our Board of Directors plays an important role in guiding the Chamber’s priorities and ensuring that we continue to serve the needs of our members and community,” said Lauri Lyerla, CEO of the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are looking for individuals who care about the future of the Neosho area and are ready to contribute their time, perspective, and leadership.”
The Board generally meets on the third Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. Board members are expected to attend meetings regularly, participate in a committee or task force, maintain confidentiality, disclose potential conflicts of interest, and actively support the Chamber’s mission and programs.
Following the close of nominations, candidates will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval. Eligible Chamber members will then receive an electronic ballot and have two weeks to vote. Newly elected directors will be invited to observe the remaining Board meetings of 2026 before beginning their voting service on January 1, 2027.
Nominations must be submitted by August 14, 2026.
