About Us

The Help Center is a nonprofit food pantry serving individuals and families throughout Newton County, Missouri. Through partnerships with Ozarks Food Harvest, Convoy of Hope, local grocers, the Newton County Food Basket Brigade, and other food partners, The Help Center provides dependable food assistance to neighbors facing food insecurity.

The Help Center also works with RISE & Thrive Neosho and other community partners to connect neighbors with practical education, resources, relationships, and opportunities that support greater stability and self-sufficiency. This relationship-and-development approach reflects the principles of True Charity.

Mission: Provide dignified, compassionate food assistance while building relationships, creating opportunities for personal growth, and strengthening community connections.

Vision: Every person valued, connected, and given an opportunity to flourish.

Purpose: Fighting hunger and feeding hope to see lives transformed.

Since opening in 1998, The Help Center has distributed more than 11 million pounds of food and served more than 224,000 families. This work continues through the generosity of volunteers, donors, businesses, churches, and community partners.
