The Grants Generalist provides operational and administrative support for Crowder College's grant development, grants administration, compliance monitoring, reporting, and strategic initiative activities. Working under the direction of the Director of Grants and Strategic Initiatives, the Grants Generalist assists with coordinating grant-related processes across the institution, maintaining grant records, monitoring timelines and reporting requirements, supporting proposal development, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring accurate documentation of grant activities.Essential Job Duties
- Assist with preparation of grant applications, progress reports, financial reports, continuation applications, and other required sponsor documentation.
- Research and identify prospective funding opportunities aligned with institutional priorities.
- Maintain funding opportunity databases, application schedules, and prospect lists.
- Assist with gathering data, supporting documentation, and institutional information needed for proposal development.
- Assist in drafting standard proposal sections, narratives, attachments, budgets, and supporting materials under the direction of the Director.
- Assist with preparation of dashboards, status reports, summaries, and presentations.
- Support project directors and evaluators with data collection efforts.
- Serve as a point of contact for routine grant-related inquiries.
- Develop informational materials and communications regarding grant opportunities and grant-funded activities.
- Collect supporting documentation and evidence necessary for grant reporting, monitoring, auditing, and project evaluation activities.
- Assist with grant closeout activities and record retention requirements.
- Develop meeting agendas, maintain project notes, and distribute follow-up information and action items.
- Assist with implementation of grant-funded projects by coordinating communication among stakeholders.
- Monitor budget balances and communicate potential concerns to project leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of grants administration, project coordination, recordkeeping, and compliance practices.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to collect, organize, and summarize data from multiple sources.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with faculty, staff, students, funders, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in education or related discipline (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Three (3) years of professional experience in administrative support, project coordination, grants administration, program support, compliance, business operations, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience supporting grants, contracts, sponsored projects, or federally funded programs.
- Experience with data collection, reporting, budgeting, or project coordination.

Generally works indoors in a standard office environment. Normal college working hours apply, with occasional evening or weekend work as required. Travel to other instructional sites or professional meetings may be required.
