What Success Looks Like
A successful Kindergarten Classroom Aide helps create a classroom where students feel safe, cared for, and capable. The aide provides support when students need it while gradually reducing assistance as students become more independent. Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Experience working with young children preferred.
-
Ability to remain patient and calm when supporting students with challenging behaviors or big emotions.
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-
Ability to follow teacher direction while taking appropriate initiative.
-
Willingness to learn and consistently use schoolwide instructional and behavioral practices.
- Paraprofessional Certification or Substitute Certificate
Physical Expectations
The position may require standing, walking, sitting on the floor, bending, lifting classroom materials, assisting young children, supervising outdoor activities, and responding quickly to student safety needs.
Above all, the Kindergarten Classroom Aide should be someone who genuinely enjoys young children, believes they are capable, and understands that every interaction is an opportunity to teach independence, responsibility, and belonging.
