The Crowder Technical Education Center (CTEC) Building Trades program has two tiny houses they will auction off to the highest bidder. An Open House Event will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 8-11 a.m. at the Dell Reed Technical Education Center on the Crowder College – Neosho campus.
Cabins are 12’ X 24’ and include a full kitchen, ¾ bath (4’ shower), 11’ X 11’ loft sleeping quarters, washer & dryer hookup, hearty concrete siding, Heritage shingle roof, Twin Oaks cabinets, shiplap ceiling (R-19 insulation), vinyl flooring, sheetrock walls (R-13 insulation). Plumbing and electrical are in place and ready for hookup. Both houses are wired for mini split HVAC systems (not included). Cabins are built on 6’ X 6’ skids for full mobility and setup for placement on foundation.
The cabins will be sold using an online auction beginning Wednesday, May 31, 2023 and continuing through Friday, June 30, 2023 at noon. To view and bid go to: http://bidpal.net/tinyhouse2023
Buyers will be able to bid online and set a maximum bid during this time. The successful bidder will be notified at the end of the auction. Minimum bid is $25,000 per cabin and the buyer will be responsible for loading/transporting/insurance.
The Building Trades program consists of framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical and finish work. Students in this program built the houses while experiencing these trades. The class is taught by Mr. Scott Cianci. This program is part of the Crowder Technical Education Center, which is comprised of high school students from Neosho, McDonald County, Seneca, East Newton and Diamond.
