Following the dedication/ribbon cutting at the rocky slope dam, participants will be invited across the road to see a work-in-progress planting over 1,700 native trees on a 35-acre site at the confluence of Hickory Creek and Shoal Creek. The volunteer effort involving students from Neosho High School, local Stream Teams, and conservation groups, is part of a 3-year project to restore the property for youth programs and outdoor education. More information on the project can be found at shoalcreekwatershed.org
