Ribbon Cutting Celebration: “From Service Comes Growth” Mural Installation
Join us as we celebrate the installation of a meaningful new community mural at George Washington Carver Elementary School.
Titled “From Service Comes Growth: Neosho, The Beloved Community,” the mural was designed by artist Teri Diggs and created in collaboration with local artists and area public servants, who were invited to add their own brushstrokes to the finished work of art.
This mural honors the many public servants who help shape and serve our community. The project was made possible through the ServeMO 2026 MLK Day of Service Mini-Grant received by the Harry S. Truman Coordinating Council (HSTCC). The grant supported volunteer projects honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in January 2026.
The mural will be installed at George Washington Carver Elementary School with great intention — to inspire the next generation and remind students daily of the power, pride, and impact of public service.
We invite the community to join us for this special ribbon cutting as we celebrate art, service, collaboration, and the continued growth of Neosho.
