Habitat for Humanity Hands on Training and education - Build with Strenght 2.0
Build with Strength is partnering with Habitat for Humanity International and the Insulating Concrete Forms Manufacturers Association to fortify decent, affordable and sustainable housing across the U.S. This initiative will help to provide incredibly strong and sustainable homes for dozens of Habitat Partner Families over the course of several years. This build in Neosho, MO is open to volunteers and visitors each day. The concrete pour will take place on September 22nd. On September 20th, ICF supplier BuildBlock will host an on-site training course covering installation and benefits of the product. This class will take place adjacent to the active worksite and provide a classroom setting for learning. Seating is limited, so attendees are encouraged to bring a camping chair. This is an opportunity to learn in an actual construction environment, meet industry professionals, and lend a hand as the walls go up on these special projects. For those volunteering, construction will continue while classes and events take place on the side.
