Crowder College Theatre presents The Beverly Hillbillies
Crowder College Theatre will present The Beverly Hillbillies, a play by David Rogers, based on the TV series by Paul Henning, directed by Annie Smith, Crowder College Theatre. The production will be held October 3-4, 7pm nightly and October 5, 2pm in the Elsie Plaster Community Center, Crowder College, Neosho. “This production of The Beverly Hillbillies brings everyone’s favorite characters to the stage. We have a large group of actors who are making this a fun and memorable show for the whole family.”
The lovable Clampett family rides onto the stage for an evening of hillbilly hilarity. Starting in the Clampett’s mountain cabin, the play follows them through the discovery of oil, their improbable invasion of hi-falutin’ Beverly Hills society and the absurd adventures and ridiculous romances they encounter there. Chicken and ‘Picken will be a fundraiser dinner event, 5:30pm Saturday, Oct. 4, on the campus. Dinner will include fried chicken with all the fixins’, entertainment by The Flatlander Mountain Boys, an award-winning Bluegrass band.
