• Restaurant Revitalization Fund

  • The Restaurant Revitalization Fund is a new tax-free federal grant from the Federal government to aid with impacted restaurants journeying through covid-19. Here are a couple highlights.

    • Administered by the SBA. We do have a local Small Business Development Center office housed in MSSU. If you have questions, please contact them at 417.625.3128 or sbdc@mssu.edu  
    • The funding is not yet available but restaurants should begin gathering info so that they are ready. There is $28.6B positioned to be available when released. There is $5B set aside for businesses with gross receipts less than $500,000 in 2019.
    • Funding is distributed dollar for dollar based on 2019 Gross Revenue – 2020 Gross Revenue.
    • Eligible entities include a restaurant, food stand, food truck, food cart, caterer, saloon, inn, tavern, bar, lounge, brewpub, tasting room, taproom, licensed facility or premise of a beverage alcohol producer where the public may taste, sample, or purchase products, or other similar place of business in which the public or patrons assemble for the primary purpose of being served food or drink.

    This grant is to be used for operating expenses and can be applied for even if you were given previous assistance.
