• Community Awareness Night

  • The Neosho Police Department in conjunction with Crowder College is hosting a Community Awareness night on April 29th from 6:30 -9:30. The event will take place the Civic Auditorium in Neosho. This event will allow the citizens of Neosho to participate in simulation drills on a police officers use of force. The citizen will utilize the firearms simulator and will be exposed to various calls for service during the exercise. Each specially designed scenario will expose the citizen in the challenges of split-second decision making, and the ever-changing environment that officers encounter daily. After each scenario the participant will be asked to explain their actions and justify whether the use of force was legally sound.
    The Neosho Police Department would like to encourage any citizen of Neosho ( age 18 and over ) to register to attend this event and meet and greet several department members.
