• A Message to the YMCA Community

  • Dear YMCA Community,

The Tri State Family YMCA remains open to serve our community; to help limit the spread of illness in our community, we will be suspending some activities.

If you are considered high-risk as defined by CDC age and healthy guidelines or you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, we ask that you stay home. Visit www.cdc.gov for up to date information about risk factors.

Based on the information we are receiving we have decided upon the following:

From Mar. 17 through Apr. 6

    • We are suspending child watch, all group exercise classes, youth sports and aquatics classes and swim lessons.
    • We are only accepting Tri State Family Y members; we are suspending the sale of Guest Passes and access to Nationwide Reciprocity.
    • Pool hours TBA.
    • We are adjusting our hours to the following:
      • Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
      • Saturday: 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
      • Sunday: Closed
    • We ask you practice social distancing while you use your branch and clean all machines you use.
    • 24 hour access to Neosho fitness center will remain open. If you need access, sign up at the welcome center

As one of the Nation’s leading child care providers we are committed to providing child care options for families needing child care. At this time our schools day out and preschool (in Neosho) will remain open to assist families that need childcare.

School age and Preschool Temporary Safety Measures
    • Temperature checks upon arrival
    • Additional hand washing through the day
    • Social distancing parent drop and pick up

To help you stay active, the Y has launched Y360, a YouTube channel of virtual YMCA classes made available to you at no cost during this crisis so you can stay healthy at home.

During this week we will be monitoring the situation to determine the best course of action going forward on a day-to-day basis.

In uncertain times like these, we must be there for one another. The effects will be far reaching and, in response, we all need to think sensibly and empathetically. We will get through this together.

    Be Safe,

    Benjamin Coffey
