• Working Maintenance Supervisor

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
    • Coordinate and perform all maintenance activities
    • Track preventative maintenance via computer spreadsheet/program
    • Install, maintain, repair and replace the following: engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, packaging machinery, wood/dust collection systems, vacuum pumps, wood grinding systems, propane and electric forklifts, work tools and equipment
    • Work with production personnel to provide technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications
    • Perform both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
    • Respond for immediate repair of production equipment
    • Repair and maintain building utilities, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems
    • Ability to learn and perform minor machining, fabrication and welding tasks
    • Design and lay out circuits, install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors and other electrical equipment/components
    • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
    • Communicate with all personnel, including leads, supervisory and management personnel
    • Maintain clean and safe work environment and housekeeping requirements
    • Perform other duties as needed/assigned/required

    Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education in related field
    • Must have electrical and mechanical knowledge, as well as working knowledge of HVAC systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, valves, cylinders, bearings and electric motors
    • Must be able to read blueprints and assembly instructions
    • Must be able to apply mechanical and electrical principles and knowledge to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables to assist in improving system reliability
    • Ability to life, push, pull, move at least 50 lbs on a repetitive basis; tolerate high levels of heat
    • Must be able to lift and/or exert up to 100 lbs of pressure
    • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
    • Basic computer skills including MS Office
    • Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
    • Desire for continuous learning
