    Full-time Welding Instructor, Crowder College, effective Fall 2020. Crowder College is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and motivated individual to provide leadership in moving the welding program forward in innovative ways. As a full time faculty member at Crowder College, the successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to student success through teaching, including remediation and learning excellence.
     
    The successful candidate will provide instruction in all phases of welding and related areas. Example of courses include: Oxy-Acetylene Welding, Cutting, Brazing, Soldering, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Flux Core Arc Welding, Plasma Arc Cutting, CNC Plasma Arc Cutting, Carbon Arc Cutting, Blueprint Reading and Interpretation, Pipe Layout, Pipe fitting, and Metal Fabrication. The successful candidate’s experience, background and institutional need will determine the specific course assignments.
     
    This assignment may include teaching customized training at various locations, different times, and with different modalities. Other duties include maintaining subject matter currency; developing and revising curriculum; using computer and technology; assessment of program learning outcomes; collegial participation in departmental, college and discipline-specific professional activities; maintenance of equipment and laboratory space; participation in student recruitment, articulation, and transfer programs.
     
    Successful candidate knowledge and critical skills/experience:

    • Minimum of three years of occupational experience directly related to the welding industry.
    • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred or prior learning equivalence.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and implement responsibilities effectively.
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff, and the public.
