Behavior Interventionist is similar to a paraprofessional position, but includes working with students with significant behaviors or autism. Extensive training will be provided by the district. Applicant will be woking 1-1 with a student and collect data on all teaching programs. Applicant must be able to work within a team, have great communication skills, lift up to 50 pounds, take care of toileting students, work with non verbal students, and be willing to learn ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) teaching techniques.
Must have 60 college credit hours or pass the Para Praxis and be motivated to work with students with special needs.
