    Position Summary
    The Records Clerk processes student records, transcripts, electronic records, assists with commencement and serves as the main point of contact for visitors and telephone inquiries in the Records Office. 
    Essential Job Duties

    • Answers telephone and greet visitors in the Records Office.
    • Coordinates day-to-day operation of the Records Office, including receiving, sorting and distributing incoming mail; maintaining filing systems; maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering as needed; and insuring efficient work flow.
    • Creates and maintain academic transcripts, including handling of transcript requests.
    • Processes receipt of high school/high school equivalency and incoming college transcripts.
    • Coordinates applications for graduation.
    • Works with the Information Systems programmer as needed to complete job responsibilities.
    • Assists with digitizing electronic records.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor and administrator
     
    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • One (1) year full-time related work experience or equivalent.
    • A high degree of accuracy in data entry.      
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks and remain calm during frequent interruptions.
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees.
    • Ability to handle confidential material judiciously.
     
    Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities
    • Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.
     
    Information Technology Abilities
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment including a personal computer within the Crowder College Network environment using the currently available Microsoft Windows operating system. (i.e. Word, Excel)
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, desktop calculators, copiers, and telephones.
    • Ability to use E-mail and associated calendaring/scheduling applications.
    • Ability to use other computer programs, as needed (Jenzabar and Etrieve).

    Working Environment: 
    • Work is performed primarily in an office environment and may involve frequent interruptions and distractions. 
    • May require extended periods of time viewing computer monitor or standing.
    • Normal college working hours but adjustment of hours involving evening and/or weekend work may be required from time to time.
    • A neat appearance and appropriate business apparel are required.

    • Will involve indoor and outdoor mobility within the campus.
