Neosho’s Community Calendar of Events is filled from January through December as the Chamber of Commerce and other community groups bring special events to the forefront.

In the spring, the annual Dogwood Tour showcases the natural beauty of Neosho with its dogwood and redbud trees, and its many spring flowers in full bloom.

On the first Saturday in April, thousand of shoppers from the four state area and beyond find bargains at Missouri’s Largest annual city-wide garage sale in Neosho. Approximately 300 sales are held by families, churches, and other organizations.

The Fourth of July is celebrated the Saturday before the 4th at Morse Park with entertainment and fun activities for the entire family and a magnificent fireworks display.
Summer is rodeo and county fair time. The Ozark Saddle Club spearheads local rodeos at the club’s arena. The Newton County Fair in July brings many festivities to our fairgrounds. Prize-winning farm animals, agricultural displays, 4-H, FFA and homemaker exhibits, and exciting entertainment highlight this annual event.
In December, Big Spring Park is decked out for the holiday season and the entire town lights up for the annual Christmas parade. Throughout the year many other exciting activities are organized by the citizens and organizations of Neosho.The first full weekend in October brings Neosho’s annual Fall Festival featuring delightful arts and crafts, parade, and other live entertainment. Barnyard Days at the Circle R Ranch north of town is scheduled this same weekend and features artisans and craftsmen from all over the country. Fall foliage is gorgeous in Neosho this time of year.
